An original, professionally framed, felt painting of a beautiful Reindeer. I came across this beautiful animal while walking in the Cairngorms. He patiently waited while I took a photo to use as reference for this painting. The painting has been professionally framed in a beautiful white-stained timber with a delicate grain and a silver slip. This painting was created by carefully layering coloured merino wool fibres, holding them in place using a single barbed needle. The piece was then wet-felted, using soap and warm water (and lots of elbow-grease!) to felt the fibres together. I then added finer details using needle felting and free-motion machine embroidery.
