This is a 6 x 6 inch printed ceramic tile framed in a tray frame.  The tile is printed with the image of my Hidden Valley felt painting.  The tile has a glossy finish and the tray is ready to hang. 
 
The original artwork is a textile painting based on the beautiful Hidden Valley in Glencoe, the Scottish Highlands.  
 
The painting was created by carefully building up merino wool layers to achieve the desired effect before using soap and water (and a lot of elbow-grease!) to felt the fibers together. Following wet-felting, additional detail was added using needle felting.
