This is a 6 x 6 inch printed ceramic tile framed in a tray frame.  The tile is printed with the image of my Forth Rail Bridge painting.  The tile has a glossy finish and the tray is ready to hang. 
 
The original artwork is a textile painting based on the fantastic Forth Rail Bridge in the Firth of Forth, Scotland.  
 
The original painting from which the print was made was created by carefully building up merino wool layers to achieve the desired effect before using soap and water (and a lot of elbow-grease!) to felt the fibers together. Following wet-felting, additional detail was added using needle felting and free-motion machine embroidery.
